Thor industries does not care about us. My wife is a triple cancer survivor and bone marrow transplant survivor. She has miraculously survived 6 Years and counting. And we are thankful and blessed. Truly. Go girl! We try to cherish each day we have together.
But because of her health issues we were in lockdown way before the pandemic. We already had those rules. Once the pandemic hit, it was even more restrictive. No going to the movies. No eating out. A simple cold could be devastating. She can not get vaccines for measles or chicken pox or most other things most people never have to worry about. No planes or trains either. Can't travel by car because she needs frequent visits to the restroom .
I love her so much.
So what could we do? We decided to take our life savings and buy something that we could take facilities like the restroom, shower, kitchen and private and safe living facilities with us.
Yes, a good sized motorhome seemed the answer.
Of course we really could not afford it. But we rolled the dice and pulled the trigger. Something no too big, and not too small. After much research it seemed the Ace mtor home was designed to have the conveniences of both worlds fo the smaller coach with the bigger coach features. We decided the Thor Industries 29D fit the bill perfectly. It looked nice. Was fairly roomy. And had a king sized bed that even a tall fellow of 6'2" could stretch out and be comfortable on. Brilliant!
So I spent 6 months trying to find the right one. Someting with a light decor and no cloth or carpets. Cloth seats and carpeting collect dust and mites which are not good for my lovely bride of 35 years. The Thor Ace 29D seemed the best choice. But like a really dumb person, I did not research real customer reviews and BBB complaints. Tis was probably the biggest mistake of my life. So we are here to be sure others are informed of the very marginal practices and "Slick Willy" approach to selling their products. It has been a very stressful, horrifying and DANGEROUS experience where safety is not their first concern. Entry doors flying open during travel in heavy traffic. People opening a supposedly locked door in the middle of the night in campgrounds. Fireant, mosquitos and other insect infestations due to doors that won't seal and have huge gaps. Brakes that don't function properly. Sliding interior doors that have to be bungy coreded shut to keep them from slamming around and damaging things while traveling. TVs that don't work. Broken entertainment cables that they refuse to fix. Interior light switches that were installed up side down. AC Vents that were not installed or would not function. Promise after promise after promise broken... We have been begging them to repair it for six months now. Nope, not gonna happen. They tell us if we decide to litigate they will stop speaking to us at all. So what to do? This is our story. These are three complaints of the MANY pages of complaints on the BBB website about Thor Motor Coach and Thor industries. If you go read them, I think you will be as shocked as we were when reading the company's rediculous and uncaring responses to these poor people's issues. People spending hundreds of thousands of dollars, often with 20 or 30 year loans totalling many times that. Only to be treated with silly and uncaring responses. We chose these at random. Be sure to read the company's responses to these poor customer's complaint. It is hard to imagine some of the things they say. Who writes these things. Goodness graceous!

I purchased a brand new RV from **************************** back in Febuary 2023. So far the RV has had 14 separate quality issues that have forced the RVto be in the service department at ******* **. Due to these multiple issues, I have only had the ** in my possession 9 days out of the last 150 days. - The lastest issue on this brand new ** is the entire vinyl floor is coming unglued from the subfloor. It needs to be replaced, but Thor Motor Coach has denied multiple requests from myself and ******* RV to cover the cost of replacing the floor. I would like the floor fixed or I would like a full refund on the purchase price of the RV so that I can return the ** and purchase another brand that has higher quality standards and will stand behind the product they sell.

The slide out as malfunction and continues to malfunction despite having spent in the shop. There was an actual fire underneath the slide out which fortunately we smelled and were able to stop the vehicle and had it towed back to the shop where they discovered the linoleum head actually caught fire underneath the slide out. They said the problem is the wiring problem with the slide out but now the slide out is only working intermittently and we are **** miles in 26 hours from home. I have contacted the dealer and have received no response. I am quite concerned that we are at risk for another fire. And we purchased this device is because my wife is a kidney transplant patient and I need to keep her isolated and have needed to do so during the pandemic as things have evolved. I cannot rely on this vehicle now. I am quite concerned about another fire and the fact that the slide out and make it stuck if we are camping on the way home. After seven months in the shop this slide out continues not to work properly.

We have used it 3 times and all 3 times something has went wrong. We have had pages of issues with this motorhome. It is truly a lemon. We have contacted **** several times in regards to this and promises have been made by 4 different people with no results. ***************** has had it in there possession since October of 2022 after making some attempts to ***********. Since they have taken it for several water leaks - it is in several pieces still waiting on Thor to ship parts. We paid $237,987.45 for this motorhome and have not been able to use it. I have attached the first complaint, we have had several more problems since, such as Water flooding the entire camper and heaving up the floors, still have not replaced the water heater.

This is what you want your motorhome to look like. The images below will show you how the coach is reurned to us after literally months of sitting on their authorized dealer's repair lot in their care. And with gas tank empty.

This is a VERY small sampling of our experience with this company. After 6 long months of frustration, we are giving them the opportunity to correct their behavior. Should they fail to do so immediatley, the amount of information, images and videos of this experience will be published here. We also hours of recorded phone calls (With their complete knowledge) of false promises and mind numbing conversations with these companies. We want to be clear at this moment that several people with the dealership seem like they are trying to convince Thor to replace the entry door. So we will wait to see the outcome before mentioning the dealership here. Though it has been a nightmare dealing with their management team and GM. It is their ground level employees trying to convince the Manufacturer to do the right thing. We have purchased a website to honestly review that dealership as well. Should this not be resolved immediately we will expose them as well online. We do not want to do this. We just want to enjoy what time we might have left together to be peaceful and enjoyable. We want to hold hands and love one another.
